Annette I. Kahler is a seasoned intellectual property attorney with broad-ranging experience gained from her career in technology, law and business. Her practice focuses on worldwide intellectual property protection, enforcement, and management, technology licensing, university technology transfer, and the intellectual property aspects of business planning and strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kahler was Director of the Center for Law & Innovation and a visiting faculty member at Albany Law School in Albany, NY. Prior to that, she was CEO and General Counsel of Ascella Technologies in Vienna, VA, and also formerly Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Director of Intellectual Property at American Management Systems, Inc. in Fairfax, VA. Ms. Kahler is a leading expert and frequent lecturer on women’s innovation and women’s participation in the field of intellectual property law. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester and George Mason University School of Law, and is admitted to practice law in New York, Virginia and Washington D.C.
