Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti P.C. is pleased to announce that David P. Miranda, a partner in the firm, is the recipient of Excelsior College’s Partners in Lifelong Learning Award. The Excelsior College award is presented to individuals and organizations whose advocacy and leadership have made a difference to the College and was presented to Mr. Miranda by Excelsior College President John F. Ebersole at a ceremony that took place at the New York State Museum on April 14, 2011.

A practicing attorney for over 20 years, Mr. Miranda’s intellectual property litigation practice includes trademark, copyright, trade secret, false advertising, and patent infringement, as well as licensing, and internet related issues. Mr. Miranda also serves as an Arbitrator of intellectual property disputes. He has served as President of the Albany County Bar Association, and is currently Secretary of the New York State Bar Association. In 2002, Mr. Miranda was appointed by Hon. Judith Kaye, Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals, to the statewide “Commission on Public Access to Court Records.” He is a recipient of the Capital District Business Review’s “40 Under Forty” award for community service and professional achievement. Mr. Miranda received his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School.
