Erica M. Hines, Esq. is a registered patent attorney with Heslin Rothenberg Farley and Mesiti P.C. She works with the firm’s Chemical, Pharmaceutical, University, and Trademark & Unfair Competition practice groups.
Ms. Hines graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 2008, where she served on the Editorial Board of the Albany Law Review, clerked for General Electric, and held several research assistant and teaching assistant positions. She received her first Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, where she graduated cum laude. She received a second Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany, where she focused on organic chemistry and participated in a doctoral research laboratory group synthesizing and studying organofluorine compounds of interest. Ms. Hines also has a Masters in Business Administration from Union Graduate College.
Ms. Hines is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Hines is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Albany County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association, where she serves as the Young Lawyers’ Section Fourth District Representative and Intellectual Property Section Co-Liaison. During her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and playing piano.
